We get a lot of emails every week telling us to sponsor photography awards and although the focus of this website is helping photographers with the web presense, we do recognize the need for support beyond that and for that reason we are going to be helping with the Sony World photography awards this year. If you are one of the contestants that need help with equipment, please get in touch. We have contacts at camera stores around the country and can help you get cheap rentals and bring attention to your submitted images.

Why is Digital Railroad which closed down 2 months ago being listed above as a viable entity in this December ‘08 newsletter?

Digital Railroad was last mentioned as an option for photographers in the August 2nd newsletter.

However I’d forgotten to remove Digital Railroad from this list of Stock Hosting services. Thanks for pointing this out. It has now been removed.

There are new posts on this site several times per month, and an email newsletter with the major articles goes out once per month. But these resources list normally just get updated whenever there is a new resource worth noting. Removing Digital Railroad slipped through the cracks.
